5.0 Understanding STIC Tools and Features

5.1 Interpreting STIC Signals

STIC gives clear trade signals with two key elements:

  • E1 ‐ the suggested entry 1 price
  • SL ‐ the corresponding stop loss for the entry 1
  • TP ‐ the corresponding Take profit for the entry 1

Each buy signal is canceled by the next sell signal, and each sell by the next buy. This usually marks a potential market reversal. It is advisable to pick the 1st valid plot after a divergence switch in sentiment.

Act promptly:
  • Place your trade as soon as a signal appears.
  • Sometimes price won't pull back to the entry level, so don't wait too long.
  • Set TradingView alerts to get notified instantly and avoid missing setups

Although STIC is optimized for accuracy, you can expect full wins, full losses, or partial outcomes. That's part of trading. With the right risk and trade management, you can stack more wins than losses and stay profitable over time. Test performance so far is between 52%‐79% of selected forex and crypto assets.

5.2 Understanding Key STIC Settings

STIC has evolved through dozens of updates. Below are key settings and what they mean, based on the author's own explanations and live‐tested improvements:

6.0 Best Practices and Tips

6.1 Using the Projection Tool

STIC now comes with projection line plots for entry, stop‐loss and Take Profit (TP) projection feature based on your configured Risk-Reward (RR) ratio in the settings. Alternatively, the Long/Short Projection Tool is a must-have for any serious trader. It helps you visualize your trade‐entry, stop loss, take profit, risk amount, and potential reward‐all before you commit.

  • TP Projection Line:
  • A short blue horizontal line will appear on the chart, indicating the projected TP level.
  • Default TP is set to 1.5x your risk (i.e., 1.5RR).
  • Visual Entry Guide:
  • Grey line = Entry level
  • Red line = Stop Loss (SL)
  • Blue line = Take Profit (TP)
  • Entry Labels Updated:
  • Entry labels now include the TP value along with the SL and Entry price, giving you a complete view of the trade setup.
  • ⚙️ Customize Your TP:
  • You can easily adjust the TP Risk‐Reward Ratio in the indicator settings under Risk/Reward Ratio. Every new entry setup will reflect your chosen RR. This is also embedded in the alerts

When using STIC, this tool supports proper trade management by giving you a clear view of:

    • Where you're entering
    • How much you're risk margin should be
    • What your potential reward looks like when you project it
    • Where to place your take profit

We strongly recommend that STIC users:

    • Risk no more than 2% of total capital per trade
    • Take only one trade at a time to avoid overexposure

    To use the tool properly:

    • Edit the projection tool settings to input your capital and risk percentage.
    • This will help you calculate the exact position size for the trade.
    • Set your take profit levels based on a 1.5, 1.7, to 2:1 risk‐to‐reward ratio. STIC take profit is set at 1.5RR by default.

When used correctly, this tool keeps your emotions out and your plan in control.
